Prepare yourself for an evening of vigorous vinyasa to purify, cleanse and renew your body and mind in 2012's first detox hosted by Amber and Morgan. To kick things off, Amber and Morgan will explain the application of organic sesame seed oil, an ancient Ayurvedic detox technique meant to pull stagnant toxins from the skin. Then sweat out those impurities with a challenging and uplifting practice created to cultivate a deeper awareness of your body. All the while, tune into the sweet vibrations of DJ Magpie, celebrated Chicago DJ and a yoga practitioner herself. As we'll be oily and sweaty, don't forget your mat-sized towel. Stick around after class to nibble on fresh fruit and sip dandelion tea.

Amber and Morgan went through teacher training together at Moksha and developed a valuable friendship. As workshop managers they were able to explore many different styles and forms of yoga eventually realizing that they kept signing up for the same ones. Individually they found the benefits of learning from different styles of yoga and incorporating what they learned into their own personal practice and classes that they teach. Early on in teacher training Amber turned to Morgan and said, “One day we will do a workshop together.”

Having a long history of dance and movement Amber facilitates deeper body awareness in her classes. Being sensitive to how her body moves is a part of her daily life. Bringing this sensitivity into her class she creates a safe space for her student to explore. With compassion and a sense of humor Morgan shares the knowledge that he has studied. From western medicine as a nursing student at Truman College to working as an EMT he has a scientific knowledge of the human body. Morgan respects the space he holds for students while teaching, allowing them to experience the joy that is their body. Together they offer a diverse and vast knowledge in a fun, supportive environment.
