A playfully strong Vinyasa class designed to take you on to the arms and upside down. Handstands, forearm stands, headstands and arm balances become the flow as we fly through fun transitions and sequences. Options will be given if you are not a hand stander or arm balancer. All levels welcome to enjoy this super fun flow.
A workshop designed to build the fundamental foundational strength and engagement necessary to go upside down. Understand the difference between core strength and core stability and how to build both to be apply it to your inversions and arm balances. Learn how to control the scapulae and build straight-arm scapular strength, the most import thing when it comes to being strong in your inversion practice.
The handstand is an amazing pose for our journey of overcoming fear, building self-trust, cultivating strength and stability, changing perspective and deepening the inner connection to self and presence. Through the understanding of how the muscles and bones support us, this very in-depth workshop will teach you how to build the perfect handstand. If you’re brand new at handstands or an experienced practitioner, you will leave with a deeper understanding and a more solid handstand.
This class will give you the tools to customize your own flow for every level. I will teach you how to move on your mat with grace and control so that you can float and fly with ease. Moving with control is how we keep consciousness and awareness always present in our practice. The techniques you will learn in this class will add this level of mindfulness as you float to the top of your mat, fly into handstand, transition through crow, lower with control and move with ease. You will learn simple concepts that will advance you no matter what stage in your practice you are in. We finish it off with fun handstand and arm balance transitions.
Take your backbend inverted. First understand how to safely and effectively deepen your backbend by exploring new backbend techniques and tools for the practice. You will learn how to open and strengthen the body while deepening our backbends into several different inversions. Exploring scorpion, forearm scorpion, hollowbacks, forearm hollowbacks and all their variations.
I was born and raised in the mountains of Southern California. I started teaching yoga in 2011 after 10 years of advanced movement training. Inspired by movement with a background in anatomy and kinesiology, I weave together hatha yoga, yoga philosophy, and pranayama with creative sequencing and intelligent anatomy based alignment to create a space to deepen the inner connection. I’m currently traveling the world, teaching workshops, trainings, festivals and retreats. I am passionate about spreading my love for yoga and helping others in their journey by sharing my own.
