About Paul Weitz and Tey Punsalan

Paul Weitz
With twenty-five years of yoga practice and teaching experience, Paul continues to refine his approach, empowering others to achieve their goals of greater vitality, balance and peace of mind. He also incorporates Thai bodywork and Ayurveda, the Indian science of healing through body, mind and spirit.
With training in various styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga, Paul bases his yoga practice and teaching in the classical hatha yoga style of the Sivananda tradition, which is centered in the five points of yoga; proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet, meditation and positive thinking. He holds the Sivananda Yoga certification of Yoga Acharya.
In addition to open classes, Paul specializes in teaching unique populations including seniors, Parkinson’s patients, the developmentally challenged, and those in addiction recovery. He believes that with a little enthusiasm and the will to grow and change, yoga truly can benefit anyone regardless of age or ability.
Paul holds E-RYT 500 yoga educator certification with Yoga Alliance, advanced certification in Thai Bodywork, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy certification, and has an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.

Tey Punsalan>
Tey has been truly blessed in her artistic endeavors in both music and theater, which have amounted to a very unique career and life.  But it has been through the power of Yoga for the past twenty years, that she has found beauty, grace, and peace of mind. ,br/>Through the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, Tey received the title of Yoga Siromani, signifying the crown jewel of yoga, teacher of yoga.
Throughout the years, she has deepened her practice in all paths of yoga, including Bhakti (chanting), Karma (selfless service), Raja (meditation), Jnana (philosophy).  Tey is also certified in teaching yoga and meditation in Military Communities, bringing healing power to those affected by Combat-stress, PTSD, and trauma.,br/>Teaching chair yoga, Tey has witnessed profound benefits with her students. She also teaches sit smart yoga, aqua yoga and Bollywood dance for chair.
