Jnana Yoga: Journey of 1000 Miles
An amazing and potent system of self-transformation lies before us in the form of the yoga tool box. Our ability to theorize and achieve the goals of yoga depends entirely on whether or not we begin and continue on “the path.”

Hatha Yoga: Yoga 101
The main principles of alignment, sequencings, and timings will be laid out tonight to set the tone for the entire weekend. The basics of the Iyengar system will be taught focusing on clear demonstrations and instructions, followed by observation and correction of the poses. Fundamentals of hips, groins, hamstrings and standing postures will be covered.

Open to all levels, especially beginners.

Sat, Oct 25, 10am-12:30pm

Jnana Yoga: The Fives
Yoga philosophy delineates five types of mental impediments, five ways of knowing, five different winds that course through the body, and five elements. Learn how to recognize them both on and off the mat.

Hatha Yoga: Yoga Chikitsa - Yoga Therapeutics
Chronic injuries can be healed with yoga and every classical pose can be modified to make it safe for students to continue to practice without fear of re-injuring themselves. Today’s session will focus on the lower extremities: feet, ankles, knees, and hips. Students will learn to identify what the primary issue in their body is and how to work stretch, strengthen, and properly align it.

Open to all levels.

Sat, Oct 25, 2:30-5pm

Jnana Yoga: Trance & Altered States of Consciousness

Yoga profoundly shifts one’s perception of reality to encompass an awareness of what is in the background but rarely brought into the foreground of our thinking, feeling, and interacting. The changes in our physical and mental chemistry after yoga practice opens up the holographic vision whereby we see the unity of the whole reflected in any of its parts.

Hatha Yoga: Savasana, Pratyahara, and Yoga Nidra
So simple. So easy . And yet, only a few take advantage of the treasure house of restorative poses, breath work, visualizations, and meditative release. To induce self healing, Yoga teaches techniques that are simple, safe, and effective.

No experience necessary.

Sun, Oct 26, 10am-12:30pm

Jnana Yoga: Yoga & Inner Alchemy
Just as the alchemist tried to turn base metal into gold, so do yogis seek to transform raw ego into the ripeness of the transcendental Self. Our body and mind are the prima materia from which we extract the spiritual essence that is our divine inheritance.

Hatha Yoga: Master Class
A rigorous sequence as taught by the Iyengars at their institute in Pune, India. Taken directly from classes learned at the foot of the Master, this sequence is not for the faint of heart! Expect strong standing poses, inversion variations, and backbends.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience or permission of the instructor.
