Vanessa took her first yoga class in 2006 during college where she studied Nutrition. Fascinated with learning new ways to heal the body, she found
yoga perfectly complimented her growing knowledge of health and wellness. In 2014, she started practicing regularly and began to appreciate
the many gifts of yoga. Her pre-natal practice with teacher Amy Owen Schatz inspired her to begin a teacher training program. In 2015, she began the 200 hour program at Moksha Yoga Center in Chicago and became a certified yoga teacher. Vanessa teaches an alignment based
class and creates a safe space where students are invited to practice mindfulness and be curious about their bodies. With a background in Nutrition and Dietetics, Vanessa advocates eating healthy, wholesome and local foods. She encourages her students to apply the wisdom of yoga to
everyday life and to find balance off of the mat.
