Jason began his yoga practice in 2009. Having worked in a number of high stress environments, from nuclear reactor operator in the U.S. Navy, teaching French and English, managing a bar, and coaching at a circus, he constantly was drawn back to his yoga mat. In yoga, Jason has matched his passions of teaching and fitness. He traveled to south India with Moksha, and earned his 200 hour Yoga certification under the instruction of Daren Friesen. Jason is dedicated to Yoga and the benefits it brings to people physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. With an academic background in linguistics and history, he finds inspiration for his classes from Vedantic philosophies, the Sutras of Patanjali, the poetry of Rumi, as well as the people he encounters everyday. His classes blend postures, meditation, and breathing techniques.
