Laura came to yoga as a dancer. Having studied modern dance and ballet for many years, she sought a physical practice to the balance the intensity of dance. She views Yoga as a powerful toolkit anyone can use to cultivate physical, mental, and emotional strength and balance. Laura has an academic background in Peace Studies which informs the connections to philosophy and social justice in her yoga practice and teaching.
Laura traveled to Kerala, India to study under the guidance of Daren Friesen, and completed her 200 hour certification through Moksha Yoga Center in 2016. Laura’s classes offer paced vinyasa style yoga with a focus on alignment. Her goal is for Yogis of all levels to leave class with a smile and an open body and mind.
