Hadley Smillie
Hadley took her first yoga class in her home state of Michigan in 1999 and still vividly remembers the feeling of deep relaxation and peace she felt after. From then on she sought yoga classes in the many destinations where she traveled and lived, trying every style and format, and finding inspiration from a myriad of teachers and studios.
After enjoying a recreational Yoga practice for many years, Hadley felt increasingly compelled to bring yoga more deeply into her life. A practicing Buddhist, she had learned the benefits of regular meditation and mindfulness practice. When she joined Moksha and began her teacher training, she learned how Yoga could complement and deepen her spiritual understandings. Through studying the Yoga Sutras, she began to understand how guiding the energies of the body, as well as the pathways of the mind can lead to new levels of realization.
Hadley completed her 200 hour teacher training at Moksha and has decades of experience with Yoga and meditation. In Hadley’s class, you will be guided through a nourishing alignment-focused asana practice that incorporates meditation and the fundamentals of Yoga’s eight-limb path. Hadley’s goal as a teacher is that you will leave her class feeling centered and at peace. She looks forward to practicing with you!
