Ariel Garcia
Hailing from South Chicago, Ariel’s early years instilled in her a yearning for a life different from her surroundings. Fueled by a profound passion for movement, the potency of breath, and the symbiosis of body and mind, Ariel is dedicated to guiding numerous students on their path to wellness. Her approach to yoga combines a distinctive blend of expertise, creativity, and compassion, evident in every class she leads.
Ariel’s journey into the world of mind-body connection began at the age of 7 when she observed her mother engaging in yoga and pilates sessions on VHS tapes. Soon, she joined these intimate gatherings in her living room, marking the genesis of her profound connection to her own body. Throughout her youth, Ariel remained deeply immersed in various sports, participating in activities such as softball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, and track. The pivotal moment in Ariel’s spiritual practice unfolded during her time in Atlanta, reigniting her profound connection to self. Motivated by this transformative experience, she embarked on a journey that led her to complete Moksha’s 200-hour teacher training program under the guidance of Guru Darren, emerging as a certified Yoga Alliance instructor with a specialization in Vinyasa Yoga.
Ariel’s teaching style is dynamic and fluid, seamlessly intertwining breath and movement to guide students on a journey of rhythm, strength, and inner calm. Each class becomes an exploration of the body’s potential, an invitation to cultivate mindfulness on and off the mat. Her classes feature a diverse array of meditation, asanas (poses), and pranayama (breathing techniques), encouraging students to embrace challenges, build flexibility, and develop a profound sense of self-awareness. Beyond the physical practice, Ariel ardently believes in yoga’s transformative power to impact lives. She places emphasis on mindfulness, healthy eating, and overall well-being, guiding her students toward a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. Ariel’s inclusive teaching creates a space where practitioners of all levels can thrive, offering modifications and encouragement for those new to yoga.
Outside the yoga studio, Ariel can be found petting animals, immersing herself in nature, baking, or creating in the pottery studio. For her, yoga extends beyond the mat and into the world, fostering connection, compassion, and positive change. Embark on a journey of self-discovery, strength, and inner peace with Ariel on the mat. Through the beautiful practice of Vinyasa Yoga, discover the transformative power of movement and breath, embracing the holistic well-being that yoga offers.
