Subala Das

Subala Dasa, based in Chicago, spent nine transformative years in his twenties as a monk in the ISKCON ashram in New York City, immersing himself in the study of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition of Bhakti-yoga. With over 40 years of experience in Bhakti, he now shares the philosophy and practices of this ancient tradition in a way that is both relatable and accessible to modern audiences. In addition to leading Kirtan sessions, Subala Dasa offers Bhagavad Gita lectures and Sattvic cooking classes, guiding participants in the deeper aspects of yogic wisdom and nourishing, conscious living. A professional musician with a background from the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, he combines his musical talent with deep devotion to create an uplifting Kirtan experience that resonates spiritually and artistically with all who attend.
