Neck & Shoulders Workshop

Our modern lifestyle commonly creates strain in the neck and shoulders because we operate from a hunched position – sitting at desks and gazing down to phones are prime examples. For every inch the neck moves forward, 10 lbs is added to the weight of the head leading to headaches, neck humps, blockages in qi and general discomfort. In this workshop explore how to manage this pain and prevent further misalignment of the spine by stretching the anterior of the body and strengthening the muscles that become overstretched in the posterior. We will also explore mediation and pranayama to assist in creating a mindset of confidence towards healing the spine.
