Yoga for Runner’s Workshop
The Yoga for Runners workshop is crafted to boost performance through a series of targeted asanas that enhance flexibility, balance, and strength. Focused on opening tight hips, hamstrings, and quads while stabilizing the core, these poses support injury prevention and quicker recovery. Pranayama techniques will be introduced to improve breath efficiency, promoting better endurance and energy conservation during runs. The workshop also includes a guided meditation to sharpen mental focus and cultivate a calm, resilient mindset. With practical tools for improving body alignment and increasing lung capacity, runners will leave equipped to optimize their performance on every run.

About Your Teacher…
Victor is originally from Romania and has been in Chicago for about 10 years. As an electrical contractor, he stays quite active during the day. Victor’s initial exploration into yoga began in 2015 when he took a vinyasa class at his gym out of curiosity. Over the next several years, he attended various classes at studios and gyms across the city, including Moksha, without fully committing.
In the spring of 2021, about six months into his kickboxing journey, Victor decided to focus on yoga to improve his flexibility and mobility. He began taking three to four classes a week, and within a few months, his flexibility improved significantly more than in the prior six months of stretching at home without any guidance. In the summer of 2023, after a head injury led him to stop kickboxing, Victor decided to focus more on yoga as a peaceful activity he could continue for many years. In October 2023, he returned to Moksha specifically for the Ashtanga classes. After a few classes with Daren, he joined the 200TT program, eager to learn from such a great teacher. As a future yoga teacher, Victor aims to create classes that provide meaningful lessons to his students and inspire them to pursue the practice of yoga to the best of their abilities.

Yoga for a Cause: A Series of Donation-Based Classes
sponsored by Moksha Yoga’s Teachers-in-Training
Join us for a transformative series of yoga classes that not only nurture your body and soul but also make a meaningful impact on our community. At Moksha Yoga Center, we believe in the power of collective action and the ability of yoga to inspire positive change. That’s why we are excited to launch “Yoga for a Cause,” a special series where all donations will directly support, helping those in need.
Each Moksha teacher trainee is required to teach a workshop for their teacher training certification final with a topic of their choice and donations given to charity. These classes are open to all levels, whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to yoga. Our skilled instructors will guide you through practices that emphasize mindfulness, balance, and connection, while fostering a spirit of generosity and compassion. By participating, you’ll not only deepen your practice but also contribute to a greater good. Every breath, every pose, every moment on the mat becomes an act of giving, supporting vital programs that uplift lives. Let’s come together, stretch beyond our limits, and create ripples of kindness that extend far beyond the studio. Your presence matters, and so does your contribution.
