Rachel Orsolini
Rachel’s yoga journey started in 2015 during her first year of graduate school. Having just graduated from Elmhurst College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Rachel was struggling to manage all the life transitions that came with it. At this time, her experience with anxiety and depression really started to take a toll. It was while working towards a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Adler University that Rachel decided to take a class on Mindfulness and Meditation. After being assigned the task of taking a yoga class, Rachel immediately felt a connection to the practice.
In the years that followed, the connection to yoga only grew stronger. In 2019, Rachel decided she wanted to pursue becoming a yoga teacher. After challenging personal and global circumstances, Rachel finally found Moksha Yoga and received her Teaching Certificate in the Spring of 2022.
Practicing yoga has become a central role in Rachel’s life and work. As a current Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Rachel also incorporates the teachings of yoga into her practice in order to help others gain insight and awareness into their own selves. Rachel firmly believes that everyone is capable of practicing yoga and that yoga is so much more than what is practiced on the mat. Rachel works to provide a safe, compassionate, and accepting environment where everyone feels welcome.
